The Project Name / Scope

Melford Design, Manufacture, Test and Deliver Digital Taxi Top Media Displays to New York’s Famous Yellow Cabs

We have developed a stylish and innovative solution that has a high bright dual sided display designed to be vehicle mounted.

Each screen (41” X 14.4”) may be addressed individually to show different content if required to enhance advertising campaigns. The display automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen to match the ambient lighting conditions.

The solution was designed for ease of fit and maintenance.

The display has been developed to be ‘Plug and Play’ and to reduce the amount of the time taken to install and commission the display prior to use.

The DMD-48 (as it is known internally) will withstand snow, ice, wind, rain and sunlight.

It has been tested to IP66, NEMA4+ standards. The protection glass is laminated forming a rugged, vandal-resistant screen that will filter some of the harmful rays of the sun preventing overheating and screen blackout.
