Designed using electronic-paper technology, which is highly energy efficient and eco-friendly. Our e-paper displays make use of the latest E Ink® display technology to deliver high quality imagery and messaging across a range of indoor and outdoor signage locations.

Ideal as a replacement for traditional paper signage, e-paper displays allow users to dynamically update content on demand, remotely, whilst being 36 times more efficient than LCD displays.

Additionally, E Ink® display technology uses reflective natural light, so no backlight is required, to ensure clear readability, even in direct sunlight. There is no requirement to generate a high brightness image, with demanding power requirements.

At Melford, we're able to take e-paper sustainability a step further, with the option of generating all power requirements from solar panels, which can be integrated into the display installation itself. We also rigorously test our e-paper displays in our state-of-the-art environmental testing chamber to ensure they perform, even in challenging outdoor locations, due to temperature or humidity levels.

Power consumption - E-paper displays are 36 times more energy efficient that LCD screens. E-paper screen images are always-on, power is only consumed when an image is changed. E-paper displays draw much less power, and last for weeks without recharging, making them attractive from a cost and an environmental perspective.

Cost-effective – given their low power requirements and highly efficient design, e-paper displays can save you money in the long-term, especially when replacing paper signage that needs to be regularly updated.

Easy on the eye - Unlike most digital displays, e-paper displays don't require a backlight as they are reflective, and use ambient light to display the image. This greatly reduces glare and reduces eye fatigue, when used for extended periods. In sunny conditions the screen image is easier to see, so your eyes don't have to strain to keep it in focus.
